We're so excited to announce the completion of the eagle portion of the new Raptor Compound!
The 5 eagles currently in our care were transferred from the very old, crumbling cage into the amazing, new space this week. The construction of the remaining 7 cages for hawks, owls, and falcons will continue over the winter with the aim of total completion by late spring. This is a huge step in the recovery of birds of prey in our care, enabling them to have the space to fly and prepare for release.
Thank you to our many donors who have contributed to the project over the past several years, with special appreciation going to the anonymous donor who recently came in with $60,000 to complete the project. You all have made this recovery space a reality!
