The new year brings an exciting time as we celebrate our 35th year of work in Alberta's communities. Since 1984 we have worked hard to not only save wild lives but to nurture a connection to our environment.

Projects during our anniversary year include:

  • Complete new wildlife hospital
  • Develop a small interpretive centre to welcome visitors
  • Develop an onsite and on-line gift shop
  • Hold a Grand Opening – tentatively late September 2019
  • Complete some improvements to the Nature Trail and Viewing Tower
  • Reduce the land debt
  • Dismantle old raptor cages and build the new raptor compound
  • Take part in Westerner Days Parade
  • Develop and implement new website
  • Implement new Internship Program
  • Implement a new donor management system
  • Implement new phone system to streamline the over 10,000 annual phone calls
  • Build a turkey vulture nest site to encourage turkey vultures on the property
